Physical Training

We train every Tuesday from 2000 hrs to 2200 hrs at the Gym Parkwijk, Verlengde Houtrakgracht 598, 3544EA Utrecht

The training is open to those 16 years (consent from trainer and parent required) and older. All lessons are in Dutch and English.

When it comes to physical training we believe in stamina, strength and speed. We are not looking for armchair martial artists. If this is you, stay home and keep watching youtube.

Join our bootcamp if you are willing to make an effort to do the work and destroy the push-ups, sit-ups, squats, chin-ups, runs and rope climbs that are thrown at you.


Martial Arts Training

UHMA does not offer a ritualistic martial arts training that is steeped in tradition and ceremony.

Are you looking for a place where you pay homage to the leader, get a black belt or some other status to support the growth of your ego? Please check out some other schools; they do this better than we do. UHMA teaches you how to defend yourself. PERIOD.


UHMA practices Xingyiquan and Baguazhang

We have stripped our martial arts down to its core essence. You are taught how to move your body and learn about angles and distance.

You will become intimate using left and right with the same amount of ease. Less is more. Can you grasp the concept?


Self Defense Training

It must be natural, easy to learn and easy to execute. Do your homework and see that others agree with this.

Self Defense MUST work for you when you need it. We don’t care if the other guy is bigger, stronger or faster. We teach you how to make him non-functional and X-FILL.

We provide you with situational awareness skills to preempt having to defend yourself. It is better to deal with threats beforehand instead of having to neutralize them. Try explaining to the Judge that you needed to beat the shit out of somebody instead of beating feet...
